Especially if you were the type of person to get regular sessions before the quarantine, and even if you didn’t — now might inconveniently seem like a great time to get your aura in order. Of course you can pay someone like me to do a distance healing session, but if whatever reason that’s not possible for you, I wanted to pass on some techniques you can use all by yourself to help restore yourself to whole health; physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual through the magick of energy healing.
Why Should I Work on Healing Myself?
Ah, of course — why should you add yet ANOTHER thing to your routine and your practice? I know that can seem stressful at first mention, but if you are already regularly meditating or doing ritual/spellwork, it’s super easy to incorporate this into your routine.
We have complex energy systems that, if you’re not familiar with them or have never researched it before, might look like projections from the physical body from the photos and diagrams you’ve seen. However, I am here to tell you that it’s an illusion based on the two-dimensional nature of illustrations and the fact that our culture puts such an emphasis on what is “real”; that is what can be touched. That is valued above all else, but energy healing taps into a much more subtle, faith-based system. I’m paraphrasing, but there’s a saying that goes, “Magic is just science that can’t yet be explained.” To energy healing practitioners like myself, the work of energy healing very much falls into that sort of magic. In actuality, our energy bodies are actually the web or the framework from which our body is formed and developed.
So, knowing that the energy body is the blueprint for the physical body we must infer that all illness and dis-ease usually originates in the energy bodies. If an issue is left untreated in the energy bodies for too long, those things develop into problems on the physical level; that’s where doctors and nurses take over. However, energy medicine is all about cutting those sorts of things off at the pass, before they can take hold on the physical realm.
Think about energy self-healing like you do brushing your teeth. Sure, you could forgo it, but then you’d end up at the dentist needing a nasty root canal. Energy work is the preventative care that helps keep everything operating as smoothly and efficiently as possible!
Ok, How Do I Do It?
So a lot of of energy healing modalities require specific training and attunements to give the healer access to the energies being worked with. However, there are plenty of techniques that you can use and modify for personal use. I am going to share here a technique that is deceptively simple. It can be easily added to any meditation or ritual.
White Light Healing Technique
Sit or lay down in a comfortable position with your hands in front of you, palms facing each other, but apart. (If laying down, you may find it easier to bend your knees so that the soles of your feet are flat on the surface below you. enabling better energy flow.)
Continue to use your intention to direct the energy to your palms. You may also find it useful to visualize a ball of white light between your hands.
Eventually you will start to feel a sensation in your hands. It may be warmth, cold, tingly, and when you attempt to move your palms closer together, you will find that they seem to repel each other like magnets. You are feeling the energy you are raising!
Once you have built up the energy, take your hands, keeping your palms slightly cupped — and place them on your body. One hand on your chest (heart) and the other just over or slightly under your navel (sacral plexus) is common. Focus on sending the concentrated, localized energy into your body.
Trust that the energy will know where to go and how to work for the best results for all with harm to none.
EXTRA TIP: I also recommend doing a Grounding & Shielding afterwards to make sure that you aren’t being overwhelmed with these energies after your healing session is complete! (Don’t know how to do that? I teach it in my Psychic Self Defense class!)
